What’s the cycling like in the Pyrenees?

Think of a Pyrenees road cycling holiday and no doubt the legendary cols conquered in the Tour de France come to mind….Tourmalet, Péyresourde, Port de Balès, Menté and Portillon to name a few.

But cycling in the Pyrenees is about so much more than climbing the cols. The undulating foothills that run the length of the Pyrenees chain are served by mile after mile of quiet country lanes and pleasant little villages which are just waiting to be discovered.

The roads are well maintained and the car drivers in these parts are respectful and courteous towards road cyclists. It’s an eye-opening experience for anybody that calls the UK their home where drivers have no time for cyclists. You’ll love the road cycling in France!

We have many years of experience cycling the roads of the central Pyrenees and have extensive knowledge of the area. On this cycling holiday we offer you the opportunity to mix and match your riding to create the road biking holiday that you want.
